Early Close-Up on the Air Jordan 1 “UNC Toe”

 In Jordan, Sneakers

Air Jordan 1 “UNC Toe” is the latest sneaker to pay homage to Michael Jordan’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina. And one of the hottest colorways a Jordan 1 has flaunted in 2023!

Since 2015, Jordan Brand has had a yearly tribute tradition to Michael Jordan’s Carolina Blue roots with a UNC-colored sneaker. This Summer, it’s arriving as an Air Jordan 1 High dressed in a University Blue, Black, and White color scheme.
Now, if you’re here for the flex, we got you. But, if you’re here to make some money off the flex, we also got you.

A Little History SessionAir Jordan 1 UNC Toe

While MJ was born in New York, he grew up in North Carolina and considers it his home. He later went on to study cultural biography at UNC on a basketball scholarship, of course. And played on the UNC basketball team for three seasons before joining the Chicago Bulls and becoming the greatest player in history. The first UNC-inspired Jordan 1 dates back to 1985 when the Jordan 1 debuted. Since then, there have been numerous iterations of the UNC 1, most recently the Jordan 1 Retro High Fearless UNC To Chicago.

For 9 years now, Jordan Brand honors the University of North Carolina that kickstarted this legendary career, with a new “University Blue” design. The brand, alongside MJ, has also announced a commitment to donate 10 million dollars to the university from 2020-2030.

All About the Air Jordan 1 UNC Toe

The Air Jordan 1 UNC Toe borrows the same color blocking as its “Obsidian” peer from 2019. But Obsidian’s cream-colored base layer is replaced with a crisp white suit draping the mid-foot panel and midsole (SOme parts of a sneaker you can learn about here if you’re new!) While “University Blue” accents dress up the ankle flaps, outsole, and lower heel overlays. Not to mention the star of the show, the toe box. As for the Swoosh, laces, tongues, wings, and forefoot overlays, they stand out in a solid Black.

As for the release date, Nike hasn’t yet confirmed. But rumors almost confirm it’s dropping July 22nd in full family sizes on Nike SNKRS and select retailers for 180 USD. That is, if nothing goes wrong and pushes back the release if you know what we mean.

As for our sneaker flippers, you’re not gonna wanna miss this drop. This is an OG sneaker in an OG colorway that might take you further than you think. Similar styles are selling for an average of $400+ on Stockx, but if you choose the right sizes (and in bulk), you’d make even more.
How? Definitely not manually, if that’s what you’re thinking. To make money, you first gotta make a little investment in a great Nike bot. The Shit Bot will get you to the end of the checkout queue for only $300 a year! Not only do you get unlimited copping, but it also supports over 50 regions worldwide. So get your shit together, grab the non-shit drops, and you’ll have that money right back in your pocket. Good luck fam!
