The Best Halloween Dunks to Spice Up Your Spooky Season!
Before all the trick-or-treatin’ or spooky parties this year, we need you to be in the right fit. And nothing hits better than the right pair of sneakers. Luckily for all of us, Nike is the gift that keeps on giving when it comes to Halloween drops, especially Dunks. Y’all, some of that shit became so iconic that they gained the “grail” status! But we ain’t gonna ruin the list for you just yet. If you wanna know the full list, you’ll have to keep on reading. Before you do, though, make sure you check out the upcoming Nike Dunk Low Frankenstein. It kinda hits the nail on the head for the season (see what we did there?)
The Best Halloween Dunks Are Fa-boo-lus!
Before we get started, we gotta give you the usual disclaimer. This list is hella biased, but that’s a hill we’re willing to die on because most of you will agree with us! Some of the Best Halloween Dunks are pairs that we got years ago. On the other hand, others never saw the light of day, aka a public release. However, they all made their mark on the industry, whether by looking dope as heck, causing a controversy, or both!
PS: If you’re expecting us to include the Day of the Dead Dunks, we hate to disappoint. That shit is so iconic that it deserves its own list. So stay tuned for that because it could be coming to our blog soon!
Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Night of Mischief’
Although you can consider that pair as one of the newer drops, it still managed to become one of the best Halloween Dunks ever! The ‘trick’ and ‘treat’ embroidery and the glow-in-the-dark outsole make these joints unforgettable.
Release Date: 10/31/2019
Retail: $90
Avg. Resale: $612
Nike SB Dunk Low Black Pack
Although these babies weren’t an official Halloween drop, there were some signs. The pair featured an all-black suede upper, but the orange stitching on the heel was a subtle giveaway. And the kicks earned their spot on this list because… well… We’re still discussing them 20 years later, aren’t we?
Release Date: 10/1/2005
Retail: $60
Avg. Resale: $600
Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Mummy’
While this is an in-your-face type shit, it’s hard not to like these mummy-themed Dunks. The layered materials of the upper are a nod to the way mummies are wrapped. And the most obvious detail is the mummy eyes on the heels! Finally, it isn’t a spooky Halloween drop if it doesn’t have a glow-in-the-dark outsole!
Release Date: 10/28/2021
Retail: $110
Avg. Resale: $443
Nike SB Dunk High Jason Voorhees
The 2000s were the peak years of spooky sneakers and themed kicks in general. Now, the Jason Voorhees Dunks became some of the best Halloween Dunks for a reason! These babies were part of the iconic 2007 Horror Pack. What makes them special is that the colorway is a direct nod to Friday the 13th’s Jason Voorhees, but you can still rock it at any point in time!
Release Date: 10/27/2007
Retail: $75
Avg. Resale: $1,000
Nike SB Dunk Low Freddy Krueger
This is the one that got away for so many sneakerheads and horror fans! These babies were all the tea! The blood splatter, the striped upper, the insoles. But good things never last, and this one didn’t even get a public release due to legal issues. Some pairs managed to land in the hands of collectors, though, and that shit is worth thousands of dollars in resale!
