Nike & Zellerfeld – Leading the Industry to a Sustainable 3D Future?
In 2024, Nike showed up to ComplexCon and definitely showed off its latest creation: The Nike Air Max 1000. These babies were the product of a collaboration between Nike and Zellerfeld. Now, if you haven’t heard of Zellerfeld, it’s one of the pioneers when it comes to 3D-printing sustainable and custom-fitted footwear! The company also gives everyone the chance to design their own shoes and sell them. You can find awesome designs in their shopping section!
However, one of the biggest Zellerfeld collaborators is Nike. In 2024, the companies came together to give us the Nike Air Max 1000, a full 3D-printed silhouette. The shoe took inspiration from the OG Air Max 1, but with a futuristic design! Since then, the partners have dropped several colorways and even moved to a second new silhouette, the Air Max 95000. And Now, the Air Max 1000 Gets a Dual-Toned Upgrade!
Because innovation never ends, Nike and Zellerfeld are upping the Air Max 1000 game with a dual-tone drop! With Zellerfeld’s multicolor printing tech, the collaborators are now cooking a colorway that features two colors on one shoe. That might sound trivial, but it’s a big deal when it comes to 3D printing! Apparently, now color is printed directly into the shoe.
